Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in:
- Water / Natural Science
- Civil or Electrical Engineering
- Environmental field
- Or related qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in water sector management
- Valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities
- Develop operational plans for compliance monitoring
- Monitor performance of water services institutions
- Advise on policies and strategies
- Develop monitoring standards and systems
- Implement norms and standards
- Coordinate “No Drop” water efficiency programme
- Analyse monitoring reports
- Compile provincial compliance reports
- Develop and implement remedial plans for water loss
- Monitor municipal tariffs
- Evaluate tariffs against regulations
- Address and escalate non-compliance
- Manage unit (staff, performance, discipline, resources)
