Role Overview
The Technician is responsible for performing high-quality maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and ensuring vehicles are serviced according to strict technical standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Before Work Begins
- Confirm required tools, parts, and information are available
- Prepare for maintenance or repair tasks
During Repairs
- Carry out maintenance and repairs using approved methods
- Follow safety, quality, and operational standards
- Complete work accurately and within expected timeframes
After Work Completion
- Document all completed work clearly
- Support invoicing processes by ensuring accurate reporting
- Communicate outstanding work if handed over
Minimum Requirements
- Matric, N3, or equivalent qualification
- Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade Test Certificate
- At least 3 years’ hands-on experience (mandatory)
- Experience working with heavy vehicles in a workshop environment
