Pick ‘n Pay is seeking experienced Floor Managers for their Brackenfell and Ottery branches. This role focuses on driving sales, managing budgets, and ensuring high standards of stock availability and customer service.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Supervisor or Receiving Manager
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and labor costs
  • Strong leadership, delegation, and problem-solving skills

Knowledge & Skills

  • Sales growth planning and trade plan execution
  • Budget management and financial action planning
  • Human resource management including staff training
  • Stock accuracy and cold chain management
  • Conflict management and change management
  • Proficiency in administrative reporting and documentation

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Sales Management

  • Grow sales for non-fresh departments through promotional plans
  • Manage merchandising and display standards consistently
  • Oversee ordering processes to ensure stock availability
  • Maintain and support the cold chain requirements

Financial & Budget Control

  • Actively manage labor costs within the allocated budget
  • Control shortages and implement prevention strategies
  • Effectively manage cash office operations
  • Maintain stock accuracy to agreed levels

Leadership & Team Support

  • Drive customer service excellence to improve fan scores
  • Coordinate social responsibility initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external teams
  • Act as a Key Carrier and oversee security and hygiene

Administration & Receiving

  • Provide input and management support to the receiving department
  • Complete all necessary administrative reports and documentation
  • Initiate and lead change management processes within the team
