Limpopo Public Works 2026 Learnerships

popo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure, in partnership with CETA and other training partners, is offering 12-month Learnership Programmes for unemployed youth in the province. These programmes form part of the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and aim to provide skills, work experience, and better employment prospects.

Programme Options

These learnerships combine classroom theory with hands-on workplace training.
Applicants must be willing to relocate for the training phase.


1. Multi-Learnership Programme

Fields Available:

  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • Bricklaying
  • Painting
  • Community House Building

Training Structure:

  • 4 Months: Theory (Polokwane)
  • 6 Months: Workplace experience across Limpopo

2. Electrical Engineering Learnership

Focus Areas:

  • Electrical installation
  • Wiring
  • Electrical maintenance
  • Community development projects

Training Structure:

  • 4 Months: Theory
  • 8 Months: Workplace training
  • Training Centres: Lebowakgomo, Motantanyane, Abakholwe Community Developers, Centre for Community Development

Minimum Requirements (All Applicants)

To qualify, you must have:

  • A certified copy of your ID (preferably colour)
  • A Grade 12 certificate (Electrical requires NQF Level 4)
  • A professional CV
  • Be 18 – 35 years old
  • Be willing to relocate for training
  • Must not have participated in a previous learnership/internship
