Job Overview
An opportunity is available for an Automation Specialist with project management experience to support manufacturing and engineering operations in Australia. The role focuses on automation systems, electrical engineering, and production efficiency in a high-performance industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and automation processes
- Participate in capital investment (CAPEX) projects from planning to delivery
- Develop technical and user specifications with key stakeholders
- Oversee system implementation, testing, and operator training
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Manage changes in technical systems and installations
- Apply local and corporate engineering regulations
- Improve plant performance, quality, and operational efficiency
- Maintain strict safety standards for people, equipment, and environment
Minimum Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in automation or electrical engineering
- Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering Technology
- Experience working with technical or engineering teams
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, robotics, and process control systems
- Experience in production line environments
- Project management experience
Advantageous Experience
- Exposure to TPM or preventive maintenance systems
- Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects
- Supervisory experience in technical teams
