Overview

A well-established Cape Town–based air-conditioning and ventilation company is seeking a junior, entry-level Receptionist / Admin Clerk. The successful candidate will provide professional front desk services and administrative support to the Repairs and Service Department.


Purpose of the Role

To ensure efficient reception services and smooth daily administrative operations while delivering professional client interaction and office support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist visitors professionally
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls via switchboard
  • Manage multiple calls efficiently
  • Provide administrative support to the Repairs and Service Department
  • Capture data and assist with general office administration
  • Order stationery and office supplies
  • Purchase refreshments and basic office necessities
  • Work on the Pastel accounting system
  • Perform ad hoc administrative duties as required

Minimum Requirements

  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Previous experience with accounting systems (Pastel preferred)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-organised with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, neat, and presentable
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
