The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (KZN COGTA) is offering a valuable public-sector skills development opportunity for South African youth through its 2026 Graduate Internship and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme.
The programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional work experience through structured mentorship and on-the-job training.
Available Programme Streams
Graduate Internship Programme (50 Posts)
- Duration: 24 Months
- Period: 2026–2028 Financial Years
- Target Group: Unemployed graduates who have completed their qualifications
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme (10 Posts)
- Duration: 12–18 Months
- Target Group: Registered students requiring workplace exposure to complete their qualification

Eligibility & Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be an unemployed South African citizen
- Fall within the South African youth category
- Hold a relevant completed qualification (Graduate Internship)
- Require workplace experience to complete a qualification (WIL)
- Meet Employment Equity requirements
- Preference will be given to applicants with disabilities
