Programme Overview
RCL FOODS is inviting applications from motivated and enthusiastic youth with a passion for baking to join its Baking Learnership Programme based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
This 12-month SETA-accredited learnership combines practical workplace experience, mentorship, and coaching, covering the full baking process. Successful learners will receive a formal qualification endorsed by SAQA.
The programme is delivered through the Supreme Siyabhaka Academy, which aims to develop skilled, employable baking professionals and raise industry standards.
Programme Purpose
The learnership focuses on:
- Developing skilled and employable young professionals in the baking industry
- Building awareness of RCL FOODS baking brands as symbols of excellence and consistency
- Raising professional and in-store bakery standards across the industry
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
- Have studied Hospitality Studies and Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
- Be computer literate (MS Office is advantageous)
- Show strong drive, motivation, and willingness to learn
- Demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving skills
