Role Purpose
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling aircraft maintenance activities to ensure FlySafair’s fleet remains compliant, safe, and operational. The role focuses on compiling work packs, managing maintenance schedules, closing work orders, and ensuring adherence to aviation regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and manage work packs for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Create, capture, review, and close maintenance work orders (MRO and outstations)
- Update aircraft and component maintenance schedules on systems
- Manage component movements and aircraft logbook updates
- Ensure compliance with ADs, SBs, ASBs, EOs, and AMP requirements
- Liaise with QA/QC and notify relevant departments of findings
- Issue CRS and CRMA documentation after maintenance completion
- Attend survey, post-maintenance, and planning review meetings
- Support aircraft storage maintenance and component extensions
- Maintain compliance with aviation regulations, policies, and procedures
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance planning (Essential)
- Willingness to travel (local and international) and work overtime
Advantageous Qualifications
- Technical Diploma
- Aviation technical trade qualification
- Certificate in Maintenance Planning
- Experience with aircraft maintenance systems
